Karen Morse

Born to a mother who was a classical pianist and a father who filled the house with Fats Waller, Glenn Miller and "Satchmo" tunes, Karen's early exposure to music led her to embrace a variety of musical styles.

After moving to Houston from Upstate New York, Karen worked with rock and big bands in the area, but had always yearned to branch out musically. As vocalist with the Billie Ledbetter Orchestra, she is doing just that. She has been with the band since 2011 and whether singing pop, blues, jazz, country, torch songs or traditional big band tunes for "B.L.O.", her rich, textural voice and skillful harmonic abilities are a tremendous asset to the band.
